Audition

1. Scope and license

These terms cover Audition, provided under the Set In Stone brand by the app provider identified in its App Store listing. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement governs the app license: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These app-specific terms supplement it and do not override mandatory consumer rights or Apple’s applicable terms. Contact [email protected] with questions.

2. Rehearsal functions and your content

Audition provides local text and selectable-PDF script import, editable scenes, characters and dialogue, microphone recording, playback and optional audio sharing. Microphone permission is needed to record. Scanned documents may require OCR outside the current app. Imported dialogue candidates can contain formatting ambiguities; check them against the preserved source text before relying on them.

You retain your rights in content you add. Import, record and share only material and performances you are authorized to use. You are responsible for permission from other people whose voices or personal information appear in your recordings and for complying with applicable recording and copyright rules. Normal use does not grant us ownership of your scripts or recordings.

Audition is a preparation tool. It does not guarantee memorization, performance quality, audition outcomes, casting decisions or error-free extraction or recording.

3. Monthly and lifetime access

Paid access is offered as a monthly auto-renewable subscription or a separate one-time lifetime unlock. There is no free trial in the current plans. Before buying, review the price, currency and billing period displayed by the App Store for your storefront. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

The monthly subscription renews automatically unless canceled according to Apple’s subscription rules. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple Account subscriptions or Audition’s Settings → Manage Subscription when shown. Deleting or offloading the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation generally preserves access until the current paid period ends, subject to Apple’s terms.

Lifetime is a single non-renewing purchase providing access to the paid features of this app while the app remains available and compatible. It does not promise perpetual operation, unlimited developer support, or access to every separate future product. Purchasing lifetime does not automatically cancel a monthly subscription: cancel an existing subscription through Apple to avoid further renewals.

4. Restore, billing and refunds

Use Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings to request eligible access associated with your Apple Account. Access depends on verified StoreKit entitlements, including revocation and subscription expiry. An internet connection may be required for purchase checks and restoration.

Apple manages App Store billing, subscription cancellation and refund requests. For a refund, use Apple’s refund service at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/. We cannot directly cancel an Apple subscription or promise a refund outside Apple’s process and applicable law.

5. Storage, recovery and sharing

Scripts and audio are stored locally, with recovery drafts and a metadata backup. Maintain device backups appropriate for your content. Recovery safeguards reduce some risks but cannot guarantee recovery after device loss, filesystem damage, removal of the app or every interruption.

Sharing sends a copy through Apple’s share sheet to the destination you select. You are responsible for that destination and for any confidentiality restrictions. Recipients may retain the copy. Audition does not offer a developer-operated script-sync or recording-hosting service.

6. Availability and consumer protections

The app can change as operating systems, devices and App Store services evolve. Some functions require compatible hardware, system permissions or Apple services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the warranty and liability provisions in Apple’s Standard EULA apply. Nothing here excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer protections.

7. Privacy, updates and contact

The Audition Privacy Policy is available at https://setinst.one/apps/audition/privacy/. It describes local storage, optional sharing, purchase services, website access and support communications.
