1. Audition and contact

Audition is a script-rehearsal app provided under the Set In Stone brand. This policy describes the current app and distinguishes local rehearsal content from information handled by Apple, our website host, recipients you choose, or support. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected] with “Audition privacy” in the subject. The app provider identified in the App Store listing is responsible for information it receives through support and its website.

2. Scripts, recordings and local preferences

Audition stores script titles, characters, ordered scenes, dialogue, original extracted source text, and recording metadata locally in its app container. Recording metadata includes identifiers associating a take with its script, scene and character, the recording date, duration and audio filename. Audio files are stored separately from script and take metadata.

Text and selectable PDF imports are processed on your device. You choose the source document through Apple’s document picker. Scanned PDF pages requiring OCR are identified; the app does not send documents to an AI or OCR service. Microphone access is requested only through an action you choose, and microphone audio is captured when you record a take. Permission can be changed in system Settings.

Audition has no app-provider account, developer-operated rehearsal server or cloud-sync feature. We do not receive your scripts or recordings through normal rehearsal use. Local preferences and onboarding answers remain on your device. The audited app has no third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, authentication or crash-reporting SDK.

3. Playback, sharing and interrupted recordings

Playback reads the saved audio on your device. Sharing is optional: when you choose Share recording, the app creates a temporary copy and presents Apple’s native share sheet. You select the destination and recipient. The original saved recording remains unchanged. The temporary share copy is normally removed after the share sheet closes; if cleanup fails, the app can report the error.

Your chosen sharing service or recipient can receive and retain the audio and information contained in it. Its own privacy practices apply. Only share scripts or performances you have permission to disclose. Audition does not automatically send rehearsal content to support.

Interrupted recordings and recordings awaiting a successful save may remain in local recovery drafts. The app requires an explicit recovery or discard action and does not silently delete completed audio. A metadata backup is also kept locally for interrupted-save recovery.

4. Purchases and Apple services

Audition uses Apple StoreKit for a monthly auto-renewable subscription and a one-time lifetime unlock. StoreKit supplies product and verified transaction information needed to display prices, provide paid access, manage subscriptions and restore purchases. This can include product identifiers, purchase and entitlement state, expiration and revocation information. Apple handles your Apple Account, payment details, tax and purchase records. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Apple may provide the developer with distribution, sales or diagnostic information through its services and according to your device settings. 5. Website, support and processing purposes

Opening these legal pages or the support page connects your browser to setinst.one, hosted through Cloudflare. Serving and securing the site involves technical request information such as IP address, URL, time and browser headers. The static portfolio does not include an advertising or marketing analytics script. Website access is separate from locally stored rehearsal content.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or device/purchase details you voluntarily include. We use that information to respond, investigate an issue and handle relevant obligations or claims. Email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver their services. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary confidential scripts.

On-device processing provides the functions you request; purchase information verifies paid access. Where applicable law requires a legal basis for information received by us, requested support may involve performing a contract, proportionate troubleshooting and security may involve legitimate interests balanced against your rights, and some records may be needed for legal obligations. An optional use requiring consent will require that consent. System microphone permission does not by itself establish every legal basis.

6. Retention, backups and deletion

Local scripts, audio and recovery drafts remain in the app container until changed or explicitly discarded where the app provides that action, or until the app and its local data are deleted. Script editing preserves original extracted source text. The current app does not provide a delete-all-library control. Deleting the app normally removes its local container; offloading can retain documents and data. Apple device backups can retain copies according to your backup settings, and restoring a backup may restore content.

We cannot remotely access, recover or erase your local library. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain relevant records or meet legal obligations. Apple and recipients you choose retain information according to their own policies. Deleting Audition does not cancel an Apple subscription.

7. Rights, international processing and changes

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection, portability and a complaint to a relevant supervisory authority. Contact [email protected] about information we hold. Local content can be reviewed or edited on your device; Apple Account and purchase-record requests should be directed to Apple.

The app does not transfer your local library to our servers. Apple, Cloudflare, email providers, backup providers and sharing services you choose may process information outside your country. Where we arrange a restricted transfer, applicable legal safeguards are required; we do not promise a particular storage country for independently operated services.

Audition does not run a children’s account or content-collection service. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information about minors in support messages or shared recordings. Material policy changes will be reflected here with an updated date and additional notice where required.
