Privacy policy

Fella

Effective date: October 3, 2026

Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Set In Stone (“Set In Stone”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with Fella (the “App”). It applies to your use of the App and does not apply to any third-party website, product, or service that may be linked from the App, including Apple’s own services, which are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Data controller and contact

Set In Stone is responsible for Fella. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].

Data we collect

Account information: your email address, and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the identifier and name Apple or Google shares with us for that sign-in.

Onboarding and blocking-plan data: the apps you choose to block, your stated screen-time habits, intention, and commitment level, and the blocking schedule generated from them, stored against your account so it syncs across sign-ins.

Session and usage data needed to run blocking: which apps are blocked, whether blocking is currently active, emergency-unlock usage, and verified Screen Time status, processed on-device through Apple’s Family Controls and DeviceActivity frameworks.

Subscription data: StoreKit and RevenueCat provide the app with product, transaction, and entitlement information, such as product identifier, purchase date, and current subscription status. Set In Stone does not receive your full payment-card details.

Diagnostic data: crash reports and error logs (via Sentry), associated with your account email, and in-app product analytics events (via PostHog) describing how you use app features, such as starting a session or completing onboarding.

Support data: if you submit a bug report in the app or by email, we receive the category you select, your description, and basic device and app-version information needed to investigate it.

How we use data

Account data is used to authenticate you, sync your settings and blocking plan across sign-ins, and secure your account.

Blocking-plan and session data are used to provide the app’s core blocking, scheduling, and emergency-unlock features.

Subscription data is used to sell, verify, and manage Fella+ access and to process and restore purchases.

Diagnostic and analytics data are used to find and fix bugs, understand which features are used, and improve the app.

Apple Search Ads attribution data is used only to measure the effectiveness of our own Apple Search Ads campaigns.

Legal basis for processing

Processing account and blocking-plan data is necessary to perform our contract with you to provide the App’s features. Subscription-related processing is necessary to perform the purchase you initiate. Diagnostic and analytics processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the App working correctly and improving it, balanced against your privacy interests; where required by law, we will request your consent instead.

Third-party services and processors

Apple provides the App Store, StoreKit, Family Controls/Screen Time, notification, and AdServices (Apple Search Ads attribution) infrastructure, and may process related information under Apple’s own privacy policy.

Supabase hosts our account database and authentication service.

RevenueCat processes subscription entitlement data on our behalf and shares it with Apple’s StoreKit.

PostHog (EU region) processes in-app analytics events.

Sentry processes crash and error reports, linked to your account email.

Fella does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell your personal information to anyone.

Apple’s own collection and use of information through the App Store and related services is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information processed in connection with the App, including relying on the security protections built into iOS, Apple’s App Sandbox, and, where applicable, encryption in transit for any network requests the App makes. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and web tracking

The App is a native iOS application and does not use browser cookies or web tracking technologies. Any analytics or crash-reporting activity disclosed above operates within the App itself, not through a web browser, and is separate from cookie-based tracking.

Data retention

Account, blocking-plan, and subscription data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account in Settings, your account record and associated blocking-plan data are deleted from our database, subject to any shorter or longer period required to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations.

Diagnostic and analytics events are retained by our service providers (Sentry, PostHog) under their own data-retention schedules, typically limited to a period of months, after which they are deleted or aggregated.

Apple retains purchase and subscription records under its own policies.

International data transfers

Set In Stone’s service providers, including Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Sentry, may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and countries in the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by those providers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can view and edit most of your account and blocking-plan data directly in the app.

Depending on where you live, these rights may include the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Where we act only as a processor of information that is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, you can typically exercise these rights directly within the App by editing or deleting the relevant content.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR). Where European or UK data protection law applies, you have the rights described above under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Data requests and deletion

Delete your account directly in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, which permanently deletes your account and associated data from our database. You can also email [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Apple Account and purchase-record requests must be directed to Apple.

Children's privacy

Fella is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Automated decision-making

The App does not use your personal information to make any decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you through automated means alone.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Where required, additional notice will be provided in the app or through the App Store listing.
