Privacy policy

Dinner AI

Effective date: October 15, 2026

Introduction and scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Set In Stone (“Set In Stone”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with Dinner AI (the “App”). It applies to your use of the App and does not apply to any third-party website, product, or service that may be linked from the App, including Apple’s own services, which are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Data controller and contact

Set In Stone is responsible for Dinner AI. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].

Data we collect

Onboarding and preference data: your stated age range, household size, cooking time, weekly grocery budget, diet, food allergies, protein preference, favorite cuisines, kitchen equipment, food vibes, health and meal goals, and feedback on suggested recipes, stored locally on your iPhone.

Subscription data: StoreKit and RevenueCat provide the app with product, transaction, and entitlement information, such as product identifier, purchase date, and current subscription status. Set In Stone does not receive your full payment-card details.

Notification permission status, used only to schedule an optional local reminder before your free trial ends.

How we use data

Onboarding and preference data are used on-device to personalize the meal plans and recipes shown to you.

Subscription data is used to sell, verify, and manage Dinner AI access and to process and restore purchases.

Notification permission is used only to schedule a local reminder before your free trial ends.

Legal basis for processing

Processing your onboarding and preference data is necessary to provide the personalized meal-planning features you request. Subscription-related processing is necessary to perform the purchase you initiate.

Third-party services and processors

Apple provides the App Store, StoreKit, and local notification infrastructure, and may process related information under Apple’s own privacy policy.

RevenueCat processes subscription entitlement data on our behalf and shares it with Apple’s StoreKit. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy-policy.

Dinner AI does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not sell your personal information to anyone.

Apple’s own collection and use of information through the App Store and related services is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information processed in connection with the App, including relying on the security protections built into iOS, Apple’s App Sandbox, and, where applicable, encryption in transit for any network requests the App makes. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and web tracking

The App is a native iOS application and does not use browser cookies or web tracking technologies. Any analytics or crash-reporting activity disclosed above operates within the App itself, not through a web browser, and is separate from cookie-based tracking.

Data retention

Onboarding and preference data remain on your iPhone until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Copies may remain in an Apple device backup according to your iPhone and iCloud backup settings.

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase and subscription records under their own policies.

International data transfers

Set In Stone does not transfer your locally stored preference data. RevenueCat may process subscription data in countries other than your own, including the United States, under its own privacy policy.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Because your preference data remains on your device, you can access and manage most of it directly in the app.

Depending on where you live, these rights may include the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Where we act only as a processor of information that is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, you can typically exercise these rights directly within the App by editing or deleting the relevant content.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR). Where European or UK data protection law applies, you have the rights described above under Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Data requests and deletion

Delete the app to remove its locally stored onboarding and preference data from your iPhone. You can also email [email protected] with privacy questions. Apple Account and purchase-record requests must be directed to Apple.

Children's privacy

Dinner AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Automated decision-making

The App does not use your personal information to make any decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you through automated means alone.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Where required, additional notice will be provided in the app or through the App Store listing.
